Something New at DownTown Knits!

Last week we announced some new offerings to you our customers. We added Cotton+Steel, Sew Liberated, Merchant & Mills, Colette, Green Bee Design and Grainline Stuidos Patterns. These six fabric, pattern and notions-based companies are spearheading the store’s expansion from strictly knitwear into fashion and giving Triangle area sewers a local alternative for dressmaking supplies. With a focus on local and indie dressmakers, we sought out partnerships that would boast fabrics that were rich in unique, eclectic designs and patterns that were not only stylish and wearable, but also shape-conscious. Cotton+Steel’s premier line features strong, colorful vintage motifs. Sew Liberated, a design studio based out of Chapel Hill, will have all of its womenswear patterns represented in the shop.
